Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering

TARGET AUDIENCE This course is aimed at anyone working in catering or hospitality whether employed or self employed, working in restaurants, hotels, fast food outlets, takeaways, cafes, bars, kitchens, catering in hospitals, schools, colleges, and residential care and nursing home type environments.If you work as a Supervisor/Manager;in front of house type job roles such as managers, or back of house type job roles such as head chefs, kitchen managers, sous chef type role then this course will meet your requirements. DURATION and CERTIFICATION The training and test usually take between 3-4 hours to complete (depending on learning speed), Learners complete a timed 90 minute, multiple choice type exam comprising 45 questions, and are required to achieve a 67% pass mark, and, if necessary, may attempt the test 3 times at no extra cost, having revisited the training material. Certificates are printed online on successful completion of the course. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS It is recommended you complete the fsm online training level 2 course in catering ( or equivalent ) prior to attempting this course. Level 1 Food Safety Awareness Course in Catering

TARGET AUDIENCE This course is aimed at anyone working in catering or hospitality whether employed or self employed, working in restaurants, hotels, fast food outlets, takeaways, cafes, bars, kitchens, catering in hospitals, schools, colleges, and residential care and nursing home type environments.If you work as a food delivery driver ( e.g. for takeaways ), in front of house type job roles such as waiters, bar staff or back of house in a kitchen porter type role then this course will meet your requirements.However if you are a food handler preparing food in the environments listed above you will need to complete a Level 2 Food Safety Course. Importantly in order to demonstrate you are meeting legal requirements it will be necessary for food handlers to complete the Level 2 Food Safety Course. DURATION and CERTIFICATION The training and test usually take between 1 to 2 hours to complete (depending on learning speed). Learners complete a timed 30 minutes multiple choice type exam, comprising 15 questions, and are required to achieve a 67% pass mark, and, if necessary, may attempt the test 3 times at no extra cost, having revisited the training material. Certificates are printed online on successful completion of the course. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS There are no specific entry requirements for this course. Learners complete a timed 60 minutes multiple choice type exam, comprising 30 questions, and;are required to achieve a 67% pass mark, and, if necessary, may attempt the test 3 times at no extra cost, having revisited the training material. Cost of Capital and Valuation

In this course, we learn how financial leverage affect a firm's cost of capital and how we can actually capitalize firm cash flows. After we have discussed in detail the issues of financial planning and cash flow estimation in the course Financial Planning for Managers, this course takes the logical next step towards the estimation of firm value.  We present two conceptual approaches towards the estimation of firm value: the so-called DCF-WACC approach and the DCF-APV approach. We also learn how to estimate the WACC (Weighted Average Cost of Capital) in practice.

Continuing Value

When valuing firms, the market generally assumes a very long-term perspective. This module shows how to incorporate such a long-term perspective in our firm valuation framework. It also discusses key relations between growth, investment policy, and value creation in the long run. Finally, it presents a simplified model that allows us to assess the value of mature companies with only 5 assumptions. It turns out that the expected cash flows that arise after the years that are typically covered by the financial plan financial plan often account for 50% or more of firm value. It is therefore crucial to understand and assess this so-called continuing value.
